My site still has the long URL too. I have an outside host that I want to publish to. This video doesn’t explain at the end, just exactly how and through what means (iWebSEOTool? or ftp software) to upload the files/folders contents within the Site Name folder. His video shows him selecting the files while on the desktop, not how to do this through iWeb. We need a video guide for loading to external hosts and losing that ‘site name’ portion of the URL.
Can anyone help? I’d like to get biz cards done for my biz, but don’t want to put a
thousand letter URL address on the card ;).

Thank you for this. Question: You don’t need that “assets” file, then? What is it for and why did iWeb create it?

I used the iWeb SEO Tool and it was very easy to fix the way too long url that iWeb makes.
